“THE BUS” PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
For budget-conscious travelers, Honolulu’s public bus transportation called, “The Bus”, offers an affordable way to reach Waikiki. You can catch a local bus with a one-way ticket costing just $3.00 for adults (as of 7/1/24). Please view this link for up-to-date bus fares. This is the most economical option, and children under five ride for free as long as they’re with a paying passenger and don’t take up a seat. Depending on where your hotel is, this option can take up to 60 minutes from point A to B, with a wait time for scheduled pick up.
What to know:
- The Bus departs from the second-level bustops every 30 minutes. Please review the airport’s interactive map for exact locations.
- To Waikiki? Bus Route No. 20 is the Eastbound to Waikiki bus you’ll need.
- To Pearl Harbor? Bus Route No. 303 is the Westbound to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
